Ernie Svenson, inveterate and intrepid legal blogger who scooped the legal world just before Hurricane Katrina by declaring that big changes were in store for his city, New Orleans, again has the information edge, as he tweeted during Gustav as to the bashing the latest hurricane was dishing out on the lower Mississip. Recalling that text messaging had not experienced the network failures that plagued phone service in many natural disasters, he used his Twitter page to post micro-blog entries during the storm.

Brilliant.
